AUDITIONS

The Jeunesse Classique Ballet Society will be holding an OPEN AUDITION CALL to all Calgary area dancers on June 22nd & 29th and September 7th and to all Lethbridge area dancers on September 22nd for our upcoming production of The Nutcracker. All dancers from all studios are invited to attend.

We ask that all dancers pre-register for auditions.
Walk-in registrations accepted, please arrive 20-30 minutes early.

Auditions are typically held for Nutcracker in September, and our spring production in January. Please check back here for audition details for each specific production.

Jeunesse Classique Ballet is open to all dancers from all studios and syllabus styles.

Dancers only need to attend one audition session. We have created multiple spots for the convenience of dancer scheduling. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled audition to fill out registration forms and warm up.

Attire: Females: Ballet body suit, pink tights, classical bun, ballet shoes appropriate for level (Pointe Shoes: Intermediate Foundation level and up). Males: appropriate ballet attire (white shirt, black shorts, ballet shoes)

UPDATED JANUARY 2023: I have read and understand the following: JCBS charges dancer fees in the range of $400 - $450 depending on role and production + $20 JCBS membership per family per year. Fees are entirely subject to roles cast, and NOT age. Final fee schedules will be available at the time of audition and parents are encouraged to review this fee schedule on audition day. JCBS is volunteer run, each dancer must have 1 adult volunteer work tasks before, during, and after performances.
